Linear theory (Poulos)

Construction of the limit loading curve is based on the solution described in the book by H.G. Poulos a E.H. Davis  - Pile Foundations Analysis and Design and is based on the theory of elasticity and modifications attributed to in-situ measurements. Foundation soil is therefore characterized by the modulus of elasticity E and by the Poisson number ν. This method allows for constructing the limit loading curve for:

- piles resting on stiff subsoil
- piles floating in compressible subsoil

The basic input parameters of the analysis are Rb and Rs. These values are obtained by the program from the analysis of bearing capacity based on the selected method. All partial factors of the analysis are assumed equal to one so that the resulting resistance is greater than the one obtained from actual bearing capacity analysis.
