Analysis methods

The frame "Analysis methods" serves to specify verification methodology, standards or methods that are used to perform the analysis.

The type of Verification methodology (according to EN 1997, according to LRFD, classical way) is selected from the combo list.

The "Partial factors" button opens the dialog window to either choose or modify partial factors according to EN 1997 or coefficients according to LRFD, respectively.

The frame allows for introducing the standard for concrete structures dimensioning. Referring to the selected standard the types of concrete and steel are then inputted in the frame "Material" and the program performs dimensioning of structure cross-sections in the frame "Dimensioning".

Some standards require inputting additional information.

- CSN 73 1201 calls for specifying whether the stress in foundation base for front wall stem verification is assumed uniform (CSN) or trapezoidal (Eurocode).
- EN 1992-2 (EC-2) allows for specifying individual coefficients of analysis which may vary for various National application documents.

Three variants are available for the analysis of vertical bearing capacity of shallow foundation – foundation on drained subsoil, foundation on undrained subsoil and foundation on rock subsoil. The "Analysis methods" frame then serves to choose the analysis standard or solution procedure, respectively, based on the selected variant.
