Steel Base

Program for design and verification of steel column bases according to EN 1993-1-8. The program is based on analytical methods.

This program is part of the program Steel Connection.

Main features

  • National annexes for Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Bulgaria
  • Option for input of arbitrary values of partial safety factors
  • Database of hot rolled and welded cross-sections
  • Database of steel grades including user-defined material
  • Import of loads from *.csv or *.txt file
  • Analytical analysis using components method
  • Classification of joints (rigid, semi-rigid, pinned)
  • Export of *.dxf drawing
  • Detailed text and brief graphical reports

The program has been developed in collaboration with a team of specialists from the Faculty of Civil Engineering of CTU in Prague. Technical guarantor of the project is Prof. Ing. Frantisek Wald, CSc.

Associated Applications

The internal forces for steel connections design can be calculated with the following programs for structural analysis:
