Structural Analyses FIN10 / Sector
Sector – Characteristics of thin-walled steel cross-sections
The program determines cross-sectional parameters of thin-wall steel cross-sections.
Besides the properties calculated by the program Section it also computes so called sectorial characteristics required for analysis of torsional behaviour of beams.
The program determines:
- location of the centre of gravity
- cross-sectional area
- second moments of area and product second moment of area
- radii of gyration
- ellipse of inertia
- torsion constant
- location of the shear centre
- sectorial coordinate
- sectorial area
- warping torsion constant
Cross-section may consist of boxes, walls and rolled profiles of different thickness.
