Influence of Overconsolidation (OCR)

For sand and gravel the maximum pressure at pile base pmax,base  (determined according to the selected type of analysis selected in the "Pile CPT" tab) is reduced depending on the value of overconsolidation OCR (defined as a soil parameter in the frame "Soils") as follows:

Analysis according to EC 7-3, NEN 6743:

  • for all cohesionless soils the maximum pressure at pile base pmax,base is 15 MPa
  • for OCR ≤ 2 no reduction is performed
  • for 2 < OCR ≤ 4 the maximum pressure at pile base pmax,base is multiplied by 0.67
  • for OCR > 4 the maximum pressure at pile base pmax,base is multiplied by 0,50
